One might be surprised to know that the first developers of Quonset huts were the USA navy and no one else. The reason was very simple that necessity is the mother of all inventions. Most importantly the structure of the Quonset huts is weatherproof and allows no leakage which is a common threat to most of the perishable material that need storage. For the initial period the use of Quonset huts was only made by some large and progressive businessmen who understood the marvel of this revolutionary innovation.
